Howdy, I'm Dalton. Thanks for dropping in. I’m a commercial pilot, flight instructor, future airline captain, and graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
I believe in helping the world flourish – through optimism and grit. I thrive most when working toward achieving my dreams, celebrating the journey, and supporting other people in doing the same.
When not flying, you will catch me outside – mountain biking, hiking, or searching the northern coast of California for the best surf spots.
ABOUT ME
As a child, a fire burning within me knew I wanted to be a pilot (I must have drank a little AvGas growing up). I had a vision, but no plan. A vision without a plan is just a dream.
After studying international business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I moved to San Francisco to learn about the interworkings of Silicon Valley and the tech industry within private equity. During this time, I developed a plan to make flying my reality, so I shifted gears to complete flight training in Livermore (KLVK). Since then, I have built my time to 1500 as a flight instructor in Livermore. Most recently, I am currently the Regional Multi Engine Flight Standards Instructor for ATP in California, which includes oversight of 10 training centers across the state.
In addition, I strive to understand the world holistically. Throughout college, I became heavily involved with Rotary International and later co-founded the Rotary eClub to End Human Trafficking from the ground up, serving as one of the youngest board members in RI’s global network. In the future, I’d like to create my own non-profit organization to make aviation more accessible to young aspiring pilots. When I consider the possibilities that tomorrow will bring, I am optimistic.
I look forward to joining an airline that I can fly with long-term to build a lasting relationship. The opportunity to upgrade to captain and support other pilots along the journey excites me immensely, similarly to my current role as a flight instructor.
